Mysore, Apr. 25- In a rather unusual incident, an Alto car parked within the compound of a house was allegedly stolen in the wee hours of today in Alanahalli 7th main here.
The occupant of the house Subbegowda, a retired Government officer was learnt to have left with family yesterday for Hyderabad leaving the house and main gate locked.
A few miscreants were said to have gained entry into the house after breaking open the rear door early this morning and after a vigorous search laid their hands on the gate key and car key. Apart from the car, they also took away a TV and a DVD player.
A neighbour reportedly saw the car missing at 6 am today and telephoned Subbegowda only to be told that they were still in Hyderabad.
The neighbour immediately alerted the Nazarbad Police. Inspector G.N. Mohan and staff visited the spot. A case has been registered. |
